As many of you may know, along with editing and running the DFCPUG, I also work in Filmbase where my role is to facilitate post-production training. That means, from time to time, you will find a post or two here about upcoming courses.
Our Final Cut Pro X training is something we’ve been gearing up to for a while now and I’m excited to get people into Filmbase and show them what FCPX has to offer.
While I’ll be the first to admit that this application is not for everyone, it is exactly what the majority of Filmbase members and previous students have been looking for – a simpler solution to creating stunning videos. Most people to whom I’ve taught FCP7, don’t edit long-form projects or need to sit in an edit suite for 12+ hours a day so why not have an application that works for them? Until FCPX gets some more updates, the rest of us have Premiere Pro and Media Composer.
Certified FCPX courses start in November with FCP101: An Introduction to Final Cut Pro X. Details can be found on the Filmbase site.
